The 2023 Middle School Envirothon will be held May 15th at Nolde Forest
For more information on the Envirothon or how to form a team at your school, MIDDLE SCHOOL GUIDE TO THE ENVIROTHON.
The Junior Envirothon is very similar to the Senior Envirothon and is for students in 6th through 8th grades. This event gives middle school students the opportunity to work together in teams, gain environmental literacy, problem solve, and meet students from other Berks County Schools.
The Middle School Envirothon was first held by the Berks County Conservation District in 1999. Students from Berks County junior high and middle schools compete once a year in the areas of aquatics, wildlife, soils and land use, and forestry. The annual event is held each Spring at the Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center with the cooperation of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Berks County Conservation District.
This event gives middle school students the opportunity to work together in teams, gain environmental literacy, problem solve, and meet students from other Berks County Schools.
