Poster Contest

If you are, or know, a student between the ages of Kindergarten and 8th grade you are eligible to enter. This contest is open to all students, including students in public or private schools, and homeschool.

All posters must be submitted with a parental agreement form (below). Without this form, winning entries will be unable to move on to the next level.

2024 Registration Form

All entries must be dropped off at the BCCD office (1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport PA, Suite 200) no later than April 12, 2024 by 5pm.

Contest Rules

  1. Poster size must be 14" x 22" (half a poster)
  2. Theme "May the Forest Be With You Always" MUST be on the poster
  3. Poster must be flat, no 3D objects.
  4. Poster must be the original artwork of the student.
  5. Posters will be on display at the BCCD office.

A registration form MUST accompany each poster in order to be considered.

This contest is open to ALL students ages K-8th grade.

What makes a good poster?

  1. Colorful posters are the best! Use markers, paint, colored pencils, crayons, charcoal, stickers, etc. Avoid thin lined, light-colored artwork.
  2. Hand-drawn or digital posters accepted.
  3. Balance a combination of illustrations and words.
  4. Text should be large enough to be easily read. Be as neat as possible.
  5. Use colors and white space effectively - attract attention!
  6. Research the theme as a way to brainstorm ideas.
