Spring Township and Sinking Spring Borough are teaming up with the Berks County Conservation District and Berks County Master Watershed Stewards to plant over 800’s trees on Saturday, May 12th, 2018, donated by PPL’s Community Roots Program. Volunteers are need to help plant tree’s and clean up local streams to improve the health of the water we use in our homes every day.

Choose from two planting and stream clean-up locations:

1. Cacoosing Creek                                                                2. Wyomissing Creek

Meet at Breneman Park                                                         Meet at Klines Creek Park

Reedy Road, N. Whitfield, Spring Township                             Grings Hill Road, Grings Hill, Spring Township


Planting and Clean-Up Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Volunteers are asked to wear heavy boots for planting and/or waterproof boots for the stream clean up. Bring a pair of gloves, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle.

The Conservation District and planting sponsors will provide all other equipment and supplies including shovels, trash bags, extra gloves, drinking water, and light breakfast snacks.
